Janine Hall short biography
Since graduating art school in Calgary at which was then the Alberta College of Art in 1987, I have consistently worked to develop my skills in representational painting and drawing which are the only disciplines I work in. Portraiture is a large component of my studio practice but not the only one as I enjoy most genres of painting, including landscape and still life. After balancing domestic family and creative studio life in Calgary for most of my adult life I have relocated to a smaller centre in a nature setting in the interior of British Columbia and enjoy a very quiet life devoted to my art practice, contemplation and perpetual study.
